Kaleidoscope offer a number of programmes aimed at supporting the work of the community and voluntary sector. The capacity for things like drama and dance to enrich and enhance the lives of individuals and communities is well established. At Kaleidoscope we offer a wide range of performing arts programmes for groups such as children, young people and the eldery.
Each of our programmes can be tailored to suit the individual needs of the client group. Our tutors are all qualified practitioners with a range of different specialisms including drama, dance, mime, improvisation and many more. Our tutors have all received child protection training as well as health and safety training and all have undergone stringent access checks.
Our tutors can create bespoke workshop sessions of any length from one hour to one day or longer. The workshops can be based around the group's individual needs and can be fun and creative or focused on helping the group develop specific performance skills in either drama or dance.

At Kaleidoscope we specialise in a practice known as issue based theatre. In brief, the technique involves using the skills of drama to enable a group to explore an issue or subject relevant to them. The group go through a process of first learning the necessary performance skills before applying those skills to explore the issue which they have chosen. The process usually culminates in a creation of a performance piece by the group based upon their work.
